Social media star Hasbulla issues apology following shock arrest while celebrating a wedding

Hasbulla has issued an apology after being arrested in Russia.

The social media icon was 'detained by cops' for driving offences after he and his group of pals interfered with other drivers while celebrating a wedding.

"We decided to hype a little bit,” Hasbulla wrote on Instagram.

"That won't happen again, people we apologise. We had to answer for it a little bit.

"I wasn't driving either."

A video circulating on social media shows several cars - including one carrying Hasbulla - blocking traffic and doing doughnuts.

One of the cars is later pictured with a huge scratch along its side suggesting a crash took place before the video cuts to a line-up of men including the UFC star.

A statement on the incident from Dagestan's Internal Affairs Ministry reads: "Unbridled wedding fun in Dagestan is known to many and far beyond the borders of the republic.”

"In the absence of other ways of entertainment, such a primitive option is still extremely popular - blocking roads for other road users, burning rubber, smashing cars against each other and many other features that, in fact, have nothing to do with the celebration.

"All participants of 'wedding emotions', as they themselves call it, were taken to the police, and in relation to them, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan drew up administrative protocols for all violations."

Hasbulla has become one of the most recognisable people on the planet since taking part in a mock fight press conference with fellow internet celebrity Abdu Rozik.

The 20-year-old, who has a form of dwarfism, lives an extravagant life that includes travelling the world on private jets, pranking celebrities and hanging out with his favourite MMA fighters.

Hasbulla signed a five-year contract with the UFC in 2022 but it’s currently unclear if he plans to fight or just be an ambassador for Dana White’s MMA promotion.

It's the second time the 3ft 4in star has found himself in trouble this year.

Hasbulla previously faced backlash after sharing a video that showed him striking his cat, but he refused to apologise and insisted he was ‘gently’ scolding his pet for bad behaviour.

The UFC is yet to comment on the controversy surrounding his recent antics and Hasbulla is expected to make an appearance, as planned, when the MMA league returns to Abu Dhabi in October.
