Mayfair Witches AMC TV Series Cast and Story Review

Mayfair Witches AMC cast have beautifully portrayed the story of the best-selling book, Lives of the Mayfair Witches, by Anne Rice. 

The lead role is played by Alexandra Daddario. It also features Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, Rowan's father and the patriarch of the Mayfair family, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, and Jack Huston as Lasher.

Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, Jen Richards, and Annabeth Gish are among the captivating series' ensemble crew.

Alexandra Daddario As Rowan Fielding

Alexandra Daddario plays the main witch Rowan Fielding in the series Mayfair Witches. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress revealed that she always wanted to play the witch character, and this was the best opportunity. 

Daddario plays the lead role of Dr Rowan Mayfair. She is a brilliant neurosurgeon who learns that her family has a history of witchcraft, magic, and other traumatic birthing experiences. Rowan is characterized as a beautiful and authoritative lady. She was raised by distant relatives without being aware of her family's horribly torturous history after being taken from her immediate family.

She is coming off the success of Mike White's HBO anthology series The White Lotus and Starz's The Girlfriend Experience. 

Jack Huston As Lasher

Jack Huston plays the role of Lasher, which can be described as a 'demon appendage.' His character is the most mysterious, sensual, powerful and shape-shifting. Jack revealed in an interview that Lasher is bound to the Mayfair witches for hundreds of years.

Actor Jack Alexander Huston acted in the HBO television drama Boardwalk Empire, where he played Richard Harrow.
Huston has also appeared in the 2013 movie American Hustle as a supporting role and in the historical drama Ben-Hur, in which he played the title character.

Similarly, Huston played one of the central characters (2020) in the fourth season of the FX anthology series Fargo. 

Tongayi Chirisa Plays Ciprien Grieve 

Tongayi Chirisa plays the character Ciprien Grieve, the head of the town of Maska. In the series, he is known by his short name, Cip. Ciprien Grieve combines two characters, Aaron Lightener and Micheal Curry. 

In the Mayfair Witches series, Cip is responsible for taking control of supernatural forces and intervening depending on the situation. His organization monitor the witches and the paranormal. When Cip meets Rowan Mayfair, the changes in Mayfair's life impact the life of Ciprien. 

Tongayi played similar roles in Sleepy Hollow in 2013. he played the role of "Detective Trevor Davies" in the well-known Zimbabwean television program Studio 263. Additionally, he made numerous appearances in feature films, the most famous being Tanyaradzwa (2004), for which he received the Best Actor in Motion Picture or Television Award. 

The actor is also a vocalist and has appeared in music videos. Additionally, he played the lead role in the radio serial drama Mopani Junction, which was cancelled at the height of Zimbabwe's political unrest. Over the past five years, he has received numerous NAMA Award nominations and victories. 

Harry Hamlin Plays Cortland Mayfair

Harry Hamlin plays the character of Cortland Mayfair, the patriarch of the Mayfair family. Besides that, his character is obsessed with gaining more power, wealth, and life. 

Hamlin's past projects include the 2016 Adam Rifkin-directed film Director's Cut, the 2015 Lorene Scafaria-directed film The Meddler, and his role as Jim Cutler in the AMC television series Mad Men. Rowan discovers she comes from a witch family and must learn how to handle her new talents.

Harry Robinson Hamlin's previous works include the portrayal of Jim Cutler on the AMC drama series Mad Men. Harry was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the category of Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his recurring performance as Jan. 

Hamlin was nominated for three Golden Globes for his performances in Michael Kuzak's series L.A. Law.
